Bringing a former fairground site back to life with new apartments

Known locally as Silcock’s Field, this site was purchased from the famous travelling fairground Silcock family.

It was historically used as a fairground during holiday periods but was no longer in use and in more recent times was attracting anti-social behaviour.

Working with Torus and our project team we developed a scheme of attractive cottage apartments over two blocks with dedicated parking and associated landscaping.

The scheme is located close to Whiston Hospital and provides one and two-bedroom homes in an area of high need.

Due to the heritage of the site, it has been requested that the name Silcock is retained in the street naming.
